When your hot friend cools down on you

As the proud owner of a gas oven you’ll maybe know your hot friend can sometimes suffer from blocked ignition ports, dirty pilot light electrodes or faulty lighting systems.  If you’ve “gone electric”, your oven may develop thermostat problems or have a faulty fan or a cracked hinge.

It’s important to repair oven problems as soon as they appear either on gas or electric appliances.  It’s extremely important to be sure you’ve turned the gas supply off or the propane gas before you attempt in any way to investigate a problem with a gas oven.  If you’ve smelt gas it’s advisable to call y our local gas company of course.  They’re the experts.  However, a problem such as a door that’s become warped will need to be disconnected, taken to pieces before straightening and reassembling.

Problems with an electric oven may include damage to door hinges, which may well need replacing.  It’s probably best to replace both hinges, even if only one is damaged.  Most faults on an electric oven will require part replacement especially if the elements or thermostat are damaged.  This will require a fully qualified oven repair engineer and its best that you engage a firm that has a country wide reputation, with dedicated manufacturer engineers.  These people will be armed with the right spare parts and intricate knowledge of your oven.

Try and get an instant quote and then select either a basic service for a prompt repair or take an additional three or twelve month offer of protection against further breakdown.  Indispensible.
